First post of my investment


I have my investment account opened with TD bank.
Tax Free Savings Account. It is a register account. The fee is $9.99.
First challenge: How much should I buy each company?
Solution: Buy maximum 10% of your principle amount for each company’s stocks. For example if you have $20,000, you buy $2,000 of worth stocks because of the diversification rule. That means you are going to have at least 10 companies to start. Don’t put all the eggs in the same basket.
Second challenge: What about trading fee $10/trade(as of July 2014)? I know it has an impact when your total principle is low like $1000. If you spend 10% of total principle
